2008 – Foundation
CO.RI.S.A. – Agent Systems Research Consortium – was founded on 11 February 2008 as a public-private research consortium on intelligent software agent technologies. The University of Salerno is its majority owner.

2008 – 2012 · Early projects
The Consortium began its research work at both national and European level:
- MEPROCS (FP7) – new methodologies and protocols of forensic identification by craniofacial superimposition.
- M.I. Food Exploitation and TINAPICA (Industria 2015).
- POLIGRID and Collective Knowledge in e-Society, within the excellence network.

2012 – 2016 · Logistics and energy
- MAR.TE. – meta-managing and re-profiling of sea-land logistics processes through innovative ICT systems, and MAR.TE. Safety Link.
- SMARTUNNEL – a modular technology platform supporting the port logistics supply chain and road freight transport.
- METER – integrating new methodologies and computational intelligence paradigms for smart metering.

New horizons
Product development, participation in the European framework programmes and internationalization: the Consortium continues to advance agent-based technologies, the semantic web and computational intelligence.
